Still working as a technical communication specialist, I continue to strive for excellence. As I've grown in my daytime career, I've found that relaxation and rejuvenation from the daily routine are so important. When I'm gone for the day, I escape to the studio to free myself through creating with the arts.
From the time I was a child I’ve created, from drawings to telling scary stories to my young friends. Later in school, it was music, singing in both acapella and select choirs. After working in the corporate world for over 30 years and earning a BFA in Graphic design, when I'm Gone for the Day I create. While in my studio, I free my spirit and calm my soul. Art heals...
I’m a mixed media artist using a variety of materials to create my artwork. Using different mediums, such as clay, acrylics, pastels, fabric, photography, and at times even the computer frees me to experience the creative process to the fullest.
Spirit moves me. Inspiration comes from life’s experience and research. Emotional and spiritual awareness of relationships formed with everything and everyone live in the expression of my creations. Cultural and historical research gives me a foundation to create from rooting me in my ancestry.
